I was born and raised in Wichita, KS. I was one of the hyperactive kids who thankfully fell in love with soccer for the first half of my life. I played all through college and even one year on the All Navy Soccer team. I joined the Navy in 2007 where I was a SARC/SOIDC (Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman/Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman) till I got out in December 2017. Long title for an advanced tactical paramedic. Through that long journey, I learned you can't rest on your past victories because you have the next obstacle coming up. Which is just how life is overall. Celebrate the victories but refocus your aim at your next target/goal. I found Crossfit in 2013 and I have been loving it ever since. I joined with a Groupon deal when I was in California. As much as Crossfit hooked me, I fell in love with the community and family aspect of the box itself even more. The highlights of my Crossfit journey have been the boxes I was a part of CrossFit 2.0 (San Marcos, CA), CrossFit Wilmington (Wilmington, NC), and CrossFit Wichita (nearby).

Turning Point

Motivation & Passion

My purpose for coaching has always been to help people. Whether I'm working with a true beginner who is learning how to move safely or a seasoned athlete conquering a new skill, I love seeing them progress but more importantly seeing themselves progress.

Through my own health obstacles, I have felt the negative impact self-judgment and life's stressors have on day-to-day functioning. My hope is to help instill in others the understanding and compassion that there is “no wrong way to have a body (see here)” and to discover the power of finding their “why” in order to live their fullest life.
